Spokane County’s native Ponderosa Pines are an unmistakable part of our region’s landscape. But as mature trees are lost, they must be replaced to preserve the unique character of the place we call home.

Spokane Ponderosa is committed to preserving and revitalizing our native Ponderosa Pine urban forest through community planting and education.

Training Workshops

Every volunteer planting event begins with a free, hands-on training workshop so you’ll know how to properly plant and care for a Ponderosa Pine.

Interested in a separate training session for your community or civic group? We’d be happy to come to you.

Youth Education

Spokane Ponderosa works with youth organizations, schools, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and other community groups to provide hands-on education and planting opportunities.

We can help coordinate a planting project or provide a training session specifically for your group.
